When I was 14 I borrowed my mom’s camera for my trip to Mexico. I captured the stunning beauty of a new country, the colors, the people…then set it down in the sand and it immediately jammed, ruining all hope of capturing the remainder of my trip. Since that time I have leaned a thing or two about cameras, i.e. setting them down in sand is something you shouldn’t do. I have been taking photos with SLRs and digital SLRs for about 20 years. I’m a native of WV graduating from Greenbrier East High School and Concord University with a B.A. in Studio Art and a B.S. in Art Education. I did leave the Mountain State for a few years living in Asheville, NC and Pittsburgh, PA. Living in Asheville gave me the opportunity to work with and learn from mega talented artists and models. I’m excited to start this new venture and I would love the opportunity to capture your family and special moments or just have some fun hamming it up in my studio.

My favorite orchid plant right now, but it’s stem is starting to break so it may not have its blooms much longer. #orchids #plantsofinstagram
